Italy- Pisa and The Cinque Terre

We took the train from Florence to Pisa and said goodbye to Matt who had to return to work. The rest of us walked into Pisa- the leaning tower is really just that and there is nothing much else to do but take silly photos. We then moved onto the Cinque Terre for some swimming and walking.

Tessa- The Cinque Terre is a beautiful stretch of coast with 5 (cinque) towns (terre). We stayed in Corniglia, a small group of houses nestled onto the saddle of a hill. There was a rocky cove below with clear aquamarine water and stunning views back up to Corniglia. We all got adrenaline rushes from a 6m jump from a tall rock.

Elise – Corniglia in the Cinque Terre was a sweet costal town with lovely restaurants and a nice beach. My favourite part was jumping off the 6 meter high rock, fun!!! The Cinque Terre was a great place to stay and I would recommend it to others.

Adam: Our time in the Cinque Terre was mainly swimming and walking. I loved jumping off the highest rocks I could find and tried to convince my Mum to as well, but she could only jump half the height I could. Dad and I did a Tandem jump from 6m up.

We spent the morning walking one of the sections of the Cinque Terre between Corniglia and Vernazza. The views were spectacular and the swim at a little cove at the end was the best refreshing stop.

  1. Awesome pictures. Love the one of your dad with the tower, it gives the impression of a giant next to a small leaning tower.

Adam – you were brave jumping from 6m, I think I’d be with your mum on that one and go for 1/2 way.
