Elise – While Stonehenge was more famous, I liked Avebury better because I liked the way the town had been built inside the henge and the alleyway leading up to it had survived better. Bath was nice and the Roman baths were interesting, though the water tasted horrible. I liked learning about how hot spring are formed and about the temple of Sulis Minerva a Roman goddess. Its crazy that the baths are the only hot spring in all of Great Britain!!!

Adam: I also liked Avebury better than Stonehenge as it seemed more of a circle with the town built inside it keeping out of its way. The Roman Baths were really cool- lots to see and learn about, The water tastes really eggy! The Cheddar gorge was a great walk- but our friends kept telling us to look out for the cheese miners. We didn’t see any but did have some cheese in our lunch by the river Yeo.

Tessa: Stonehenge was impressive but there were way too many people. Avebury was impressive in a different way and I liked being able to touch the stones. I enjoyed staying at Fizz and Dom’s place as it was quiet and beautiful. The Roman baths in Bath were really interesting and I was amazed they had only been recently discovered. The walk in Cheddar gorge was a good way to see some local sights without all the tourists.
I’ve never been to Avebury but will certainly add it to the must-do list.
Bath is one of my favourite places as well.
