We’ve had 3 weeks in Aberdeen, and the last two weeks in one place!
Mark has done some work, Sonja has done some work and the children have caught up on school work and also experienced trampolining, rock climbing and bouldering, go ape tree climbing, golf, reading, two castles straight out of a fantasy novel (Dunnotar and Crathes), deep fried Mars bars (twice!), Stonehaven port, walks along the river’s Don and Dee, explored central Aberdeen and the medieval part, and Aberdeen beach, they’ve walked in the Queens backyard at Balmoral estate, watched salmon try to jump up rapids and saw some Hairy Coo. The cousins joined us for a bit and we visited a few cafes too.

But it’s time to restart the road trip…
We’re off to Edinburgh for 2 nights, Newcastle for 1 night, and then an overnight ferry to Amsterdam and onward.
Oh these might be my favourite photos – touch competition though, loving the arm chair travel I’m doing. Beautiful landscapes but disappointed there wasn’t a picture of the deep fried mars bar (can’t visual it).

Imagine an unwrapped mars bar with batter on it. That’s it. Tastes a bit like Churros- deep fried fat and chocolate.
