Croatia: Split

Mark: We left London at 3.30am for our early flight to Split and arrived at 11.00 to be greeted by hot, fine weather which set the tone for almost all our time in Croatia. (See upcoming post on Hvar)

Tessa: The town had a great feeling of history, with buildings dating back to ancient Roman times. The shoppings in the markets were great, with shoes, and dresses bought.

Elise: Diocletian’s palace in the centre of Split remains as a working town with lots of homes and shops inside the walls. It was very hot wandering through the maze of alley ways and the cobblestones were worn down with years of walking. It was very busy during the day with lots of crowds.

Adam: Our apartment with the pink bougainvillaea was very old style and in a great position. I liked finding a football top with Rakitic in the Croatian away colours.

  1. Very pretty apartment setting with the beautiful flowers. Good news that dresses were purchased.
I’m thinking that is navy for the croatian away strip? and Rakitic is playing for Barcelona. Good purchasing Adam.
Hope there’s still room in the bags. Need to add Spilt to the must travel to list…
Massive dumping of snow over the last few days. Nearly half a metre of fresh snow. Stunning forecast tomorrow. Half of Canterbury pulling a sickie (including Gerard and Harry).
